Tessellations

A tessellation means taking multiple of the same any sized picture and forming them together to create on big (designed) geometrical shaped picture. How I made my tessellation is by taking any close up (or not) picture that I took and cropped it in photoshop. In photoshop, I have a template with guidelines to help me put the tessellation together. Once I crop it to a certain size, I then copy the 1st layer of that picture and flip them, either horizontal or vertical. Once I put them in place, the picture makes these geometrical shapes and once it's finished, I saved it as a JPEG.

Some struggles I had with making a tessallation was the white lines you could see in between some of the layers.

I'm most proud of making tessallations because I can make these really nice designs with the pictures that I took and I enjoy how they turn out in the end.
